"Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp" follows Elise, who was known as a wicked empress in her first life and was executed by her husband, Crown Prince Linden. After her death, she is reborn in modern Japan as Aoi Takamoto. In her new life, she decides to become a surgeon to atone for her past sins and help many people. However, her life ends again in a plane crash.
Elise then awakens back in her first world, ten years before her execution. Determined not to repeat her past mistakes, she decides not to marry Linden again and instead uses her knowledge as a surgeon to save lives. Along her journey, she faces numerous challenges but remains determined to change her fate and lead a better life.
The story follows Elise as she uses her medical skills in a world full of challenges and intrigues, fighting for the well-being of others and seeking her own redemption.
