Welcome to the European Cosplay Cup Preliminary Round at Anime Messe Babelsberg! The E2C preliminary round is the decisive competition to select Germany's representative for the grand E2C finale at the Toulouse Game Show in France on December 1, 2024. This professional competition brings together the best cosplayers from across Europe to crown the European Cosplay Champion. The winner will receive not only fame and glory but also a generous cash prize of 2,000 euros! The runner-up will receive 1,000 euros, and the third-place finisher will get 500 euros. Additionally, there are prizes in individual categories such as Audience Favorite, Best Costume, and Best Performance, each awarded with 250 euros.

To represent Germany in the finale, you must first prove yourself in an exciting preliminary round on Sunday at 12:40 at Anime Messe Babelsberg. All you need is a self-made cosplay and a short performance of no more than 2 minutes.

Participation is definitely worthwhile! In the past, participants from Anime Messe Babelsberg have regularly achieved impressive results in the finale and won prizes for themselves and Germany. Even in the preliminary round, you won’t leave empty-handed: The top three places will receive merchandise packages, and the first-place winner will be awarded a 100-euro voucher from AnimeFanShop.de!

Registration / Participation Conditions:

• Registration: Registration is exclusively through the online form by July 10, 2024.
• Registration Deadline: We reserve the right to close registration earlier if we receive a sufficient number of applications.
• Participant Ticket: Upon successful admission, you will receive a free three-day ticket for Anime Messe Babelsberg. This ticket is only valid with actual participation in the competition. Otherwise, the ticket will be charged.
• Start Slots: A total of eight start slots are available.
• Participation Requirements: You must be at least 18 years old and have German citizenship or permanent residence in Germany.
• Cosplay Requirements: The cosplay must be handmade and based on a character template.
• Willingness to Travel: You must be willing to travel to the Toulouse Game Show in France on December 1, 2024. The costs will be covered by the E2C organizer, France Cosplay.
• Check-in: Check-in is required by Sunday at 10:30 as preparation and pre-evaluation begin at 11:00.
• Changes: Changes to the cosplay or media files must be communicated no later than one day before the start of the competition.
• Cancellations: In the event of cancellations, please report them immediately to be fair to other participants.
• Information: Shortly before the convention begins, each participant will receive an information sheet with their assigned start number, schedule, locations, and other details including any last-minute changes.
