Cosplay-Contest
With their colorful and elaborate costumes from anime, manga and game series, cosplayers are the eye-catcher of every anime event, and at Anime Messe "Platzhalter" they even have the stage. Do not miss the cosplay contest when fighting for the best costume! But those who want to achieve fame and glory must also bring their character to life on stage. Look forward to exciting, serious and funny performances and cheer on your favorites.
The cosplay competition takes place on Saturday at 13:40 on the big stage. If you are a cosplayer yourself, we would be very happy if you signed up for the contest. Our motto is to have fun! If you definitely want to participate in the cosplay competition, then register in good time via our online form. There are only a limited number of slots available. We will reserve at least three slots on the spot for the last-minute. On the day of the cosplay competition (Saturday) you have to confirm your participation until 12 o'clock at the "Waffencheck".

- You can participate in the competition either alone or in a group of up to six people.
- All participants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the competition and have a valid Saturday ticket. If you do not have a ticket for Saturday, we can grant you admission 90 minutes before the competition via the backstage entrance. YOU must mention this in the online registration.
- The performance length is a maximum of three minutes and you have a total of two minutes to set up and remove props.
- The performance can be supported multimedia by image, video and sound. The files should be playable on an ordinary Windows PC.
- Up to four handheld microphones are provided.
- The stage is lit by us by default with white light. On request we can dim the light or change to another color. In case of special features please notify.
- In addition to the performance participation in the costume review and the photo shoot or the group photo is binding. In the costume evaluation, we are mainly concerned with the completeness, and the detail accurate conversion of the character. (No seams are checked, and even bought cosplayers can take part in the competition with a point discount, the show should convince the audience and the jury.)
- All participants declare their consent for photo and film recordings. The rights of use of the recordings remain with the organizer.
- The costumes must comply with our cosplay and weapons rules. If you need a weapon that has been criticized, we will hand it over to you for the contest.
- On the stage are no liquids, fake blood or other substances that could contaminate the stage allowed. If you want to use confetti or something similar, you must be able to completely clean the stage within your setup and dismantling time of a total of two minutes. Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to throw objects into the audience.
Evaluation criteria:
- Adaption of the cosplay character (be sure to provide photo for the jury)
- Presentation of the character and creativity / quality of the performance.
- Is the appearance consistent with the chosen character / universe?
- For groups, cooperation is also assessed.
- Reaction of the audience after the performance.
