Rapper, actor, voice actor: just like us, Steven Ron Abel is a huge anime fan and therefore absolutely predestined to be at the Anime Messe Babelsberg 2024! He got into dubbing through his music and is now living his dream come true. Meet the German voice of Gengo Aoi from "Freezing Vibration" and Isamu from "My Daemon" at our voice actor panel on Saturday at 12:00 on the outdoor stage!
Steven Ron Abel was already on stage at the age of 14 and can now look back on over 20 years of German rap. He is a musician with heart and soul and his music was exactly what brought Steven to the dubbing studio. As a big fan of anime and manga, it was a dream come true for him to be part of a German anime dubbing: In the second season of "Freezing", Steven dubbed Gengo Aoi, the grandfather of the protagonist Kazuya Aoi, with his dark voice. His career also includes roles in anime series such as "Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon", the Thai-Japanese Netflix animation series "My Daemon" and even "SpongeBob SquarePants", as well as a voice role in the Nicholas Cage film "Dream Scenario".
