MADKID is a Japanese boyband formed in 2014, consisting of two rappers (LIN and YUKI) and three vocalists (YOU-TA, SHIN, and KAZUKI). Since their major debut in 2018, the band has garnered global attention. They are particularly renowned for their dynamic and powerful songs that often feature in popular anime series.
Their breakthrough came in 2019 with the song "RISE" for the TV anime series "The Rising of the Shield Hero," which quickly became an international hit. This was followed by other successful titles like "FAITH" and "Bring Back" for the continuation of the series. In January 2023, they released "PARANOID" as the theme song for the Netflix anime series "Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre." In October of the same year, "SIN," the theme song for the third season of "The Rising of the Shield Hero," was released. Their latest song "FLY" is the opening theme for the new anime series "Sasaki and Peeps," which premiered in January 2024. Additionally, they have contributed the title song "Change The World" for "Beast Tamer," "One Room Adventure" for "Level 1 Demon Lord & One Room Hero," and "Futatsu no Kotoba" for "Tadaima, Okaeri." With their unique combination of impressive rap and powerful vocals, MADKID delivers an unforgettable performance.
