"What are you swimming for?" - Haruka has been asking himself this question ever since he competed against champion Albert Wåhlander in his first international competition in Sydney. As he struggles with his feelings, he feels as if he is being drawn deeper and deeper into the bottomless, dark depths of the water, from which he can no longer free himself. Finally, he decides on a tough training programme that completely consumes him, even though he is aware that he is overexerting both body and mind.
